Technical issues

There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to sign in:

• Check that you are using the correct email address and password to log in to the site (use the password reminder tool if you need to)
• Perhaps your account has been suspended. If you believe your account has been suspended in error, contact us.
• Make sure you have registered. You must sign up in order to log in.

A cookie is a small data file stored on your computer to remember some of your preferences or settings. It's a safe file and does not endanger your computer or operating system.

MyType uses a cookie to recognise you when you return to ensure we can remember some of your settings such as your login (if you checked the "remember me" option when you last logged in), and where you were up to during registration. The cookie will also help us recognise basic information such as your user id, gender and age to customise your homepage. It does not store any personal information.

MyType also uses a session cookie which temporarily remembers your access information during the session. The cookie stores only the user data, which you use to identify yourself. The session cookie is deleted after you log off or when you close your internet browser. The data stored within the cookie is therefore only held in your computer's memory for a short period of time, during your working session. This cookie is not used to monitor your online usage of the system.

If you don't want to accept cookies, you can set your browser and/or firewall to block them. You will still be able to access most MyType content but some features will be unavailable.

MyType works well in most internet browsers, but we suggest that you use the latest version of MS Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari browsers to ensure the highest quality experience.

Internet Explorer 6 users: Many websites, including MyType.com.au, no longer support MS Internet Explorer version 6 as it does not have adequate capability for supporting cutting edge websites. To properly view MyType we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer - download it for free.
