My Profile

You can view your own profile by taking the following steps:

• You will need to complete the registration pages, before you can view your profile.
• Then sign in to MyType (if you're not already).
• In the navigation panel, click on My Profile. This will show you what your profile looks like and allow you to edit any of the details by clicking on the edit links displayed on the page.

Note that your personality report can only be viewed by you.

Your profile is the first impression you make to your matches, who will decide whether or not they would like to get to know you better. So, it's important that you spend some time preparing your profile.

To edit your profile, simply sign in to MyType. Then click on My Profile in the navigation panel. On your profile page, click on the various edit links to update the required content.

Click on the me & my ideal tab on your profile to edit the basic information and lifestyle characteristics of you and your match preferences.

Note that your personality report cannot be edited and can only be viewed by you.

No. You will need to log in to RSVP.com.au to make the necessary changes on your RSVP profile.

For your convenience, when existing members from RSVP.com.au sign up to MyType we'll automatically complete some of the content on your MyType profile.

If you make changes to this content, then we'll update your MyType profile, but your RSVP profile will not be updated.

Get more responses by making your profile description interesting and honest. Describe what's important to you and let your personality shine. Don't be too brief. The more you write, the more you'll stand out.

Photos can also improve your chances of getting noticed. Choose a close up looking your best. Find out more about photo guidelines.

You can only change your date of birth if it was incorrectly entered during registration.

To update your age, please contact the Customer Care team using the contact us form. You may need to provide recent proof of age to support this change.

During the MyType registration process you will be guided through each step of your profile. When you complete each section, we'll keep you posted on the progress so you know when you're done.

All the essential information for your profile is completed when you register so that we can start the search for your most compatible matches right away.

After you register you can update or complete any missing information on your profile at any time by clicking through to your profile. Then simply click edit on your profile to update any information. Don't forget to save any changes you make.

A member profile will be suspended when unacceptable information is added to a profile page. Unacceptable information includes:

• Offensive language or sexually explicit materials;
• False information;
• Material promoting any commercial enterprise;
• Identifying information including, but not limited to, your real name, phone number, email address, ICQ number or any URL.

When MyType terms and conditions have been breached by the inclusion of such information in a profile, we may suspend the account at our discretion.

If your profile is suspended, you can no longer access your profile and you will need to contact us to have your profile unsuspended.

We respect your privacy and rest assured, it's only the members that you have been matched with that will ever see your profile.

But if you need extra privacy options for any reason, then you can hide your profile at any time for as long as you choose by taking either of the following steps:

• To stop your profile from being sent to new matches, then you'll just need to turn matching off. Do this by selecting disable matches from your settings. This will hide your profile from new matches. Anyone you have already been matched with can still view your profile and communicate with you.
• To block a selected member from viewing your profile and communicating with you, select the remove match option on their profile page. This will close the match. Your profile will always remain hidden you're your closed matches.
• Maybe you'd just like to hide your photos. To do this, select hide from the photo privacy option in your settings. This will prevent your matches from seeing your photos unless you grant them permission.
• You can also stop communication at any time by switching to unavailable from your settings. This will prevent anyone from contacting you. However you will be visible to your existing matches and any messages you have sent and received will still be readable. Note that your matching is automatically switched off when you're unavailable since you are not able to communicate with anyone.

Remember that you can switch your profile back to visible at any time.

Please be aware that hiding your profile does not suspend your subscription. Should you wish to cancel your subscription, please head to My Account.
