How can I update my email address?

To change your email address, simply sign in to MyType with your old email address. Then, click on the Account link in the navigation. This will show the email address we currently have for you on file. Enter your new email in the email address box. Then click the save button to update.

Don't forget to sign in to MyType next time with your new email address.

I'm not receiving any emails or they're going to my junk folder.

There are a number of reasons why emails may not arrive in your inbox.

If you do not receive any emails, check your junk or spam mail folder to see if your MyType emails are getting moved by automatic spam filters. Sometimes, an email message that you wish to receive is incorrectly judged as spam and sent to your junk folder. Most of the time, this is the reason why someone can't find their emails. To ensure you receive our email, add mytype.com.au to your approved senders list which should allow messages to be properly delivered to you. Contact your mail provider for instructions on how to do this.

Did you provide us with your correct email address? Check your details on your Account page. You should be able to update it if necessary by clicking the submit button at the bottom of the page.

If your email address is correct and you still can't find your MyType emails, unfortunately it means that we just can't send any email to the email address you have provided. This can happen sometimes due to technical issues beyond our control. In this case you will need to use a different email address for your MyType account. Click here to change your email address.

How do I update my personal details?

You can update your personal details at any time including your first and last name, change of address or location, and contact details.

Simply sign in to your MyType account. Then, click on the Account link in the navigation. This will show the personal details we currently have for you on file. Enter your new details as required. Then click the save button to update.

Need to change your age or date of birth? You can only change your date of birth if it was incorrectly entered during registration. You may need to provide recent proof of age to support this change. To update your age, please contact the Customer Care team using the contact us form.

Remember we'll never disclose any personal details.

I want to terminate my membership.

You can terminate your MyType membership at any time. By terminating your account, all information related to your account will be permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved.

To terminate your membership you'll need to sign in to MyType. Then, click on the Account link in the navigation. Select the close account option in the Account Details section. You will then be prompted to confirm that you want your account deleted. Click Yes,close my account to proceed and terminate your MyType membership.

If you would prefer to simply take some time out, please consider the taking a break feature, which will hide your profile and stop all matches and communication. Your profile content is then stored in case you need it again in the future.

How do I change my location?

If you have moved and need to change your location, simply go to My Profile and edit your About Me criteria. Enter your new Australian postcode and select the appropriate location.

Please note that the MyType service is currently only available to Australian residents.

If I update my account settings will my RSVP account settings also change?

No. Although RSVP members can import some of their profile information during MyType registration, and changes that are made on the MyType website will not change the settings on your RSVP account.

You will need to log on to RSVP.com.au to update your settings regarding your RSVP profile.
