Login and passwords

On the top right hand side of the homepage you will note that there is a button named sign in. Click the button to proceed to the login page.

Tip: Use the remember me option to automatically log you in each time you visit MyType.

There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to sign in:

• Check that you are using the correct email address and password to log in to the site (use the password reminder tool if you need to)
• Perhaps your account has been suspended. If you believe your account has been suspended in error, contact us.
• Make sure you have registered. You must sign up in order to log in.

If you are still having trouble, contact us.

Your username is the email address you provided to us when you signed up to MyType.

If you have forgotten your password, use the password reminder feature to reset your password.

Click on the forgot password link on the login page, or click here. Then complete your email address and click the submit button. You should then receive an email from MyType with details on how to reset your password. Once you reset your password, you will then be permitted to log in securely.

If you don't receive the password reminder email in your inbox, don't forget to check your junk mail folder.

When the remember me option is checked on the login page we will automatically sign you in to MyType next time you visit the site. This is recommended if you're the only person using the computer.

You remain signed in to your account until you click log out, even if you close the browser window or turn off the computer.

If you are using a public or shared computer, the remember me option is not recommended because there is a chance other people may be able to gain access to your account. If you accidentally checked the remember option on someone else's computer, we recommend that you change your password.

To change your password, simply sign in to MyType with your current password. Then, click on the Account link in the navigation at the top of the page. In the Account Details section, click on the change password link. Enter your new password in the password box. Confirm your new password by re-entering it into the box provided. Then click the save button to update.

If accepted, you will see a confirmation that your password was successfully changed.

For security purposes, make sure that your password is difficult for others to guess. We recommend a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters and at least one number. Passwords are case sensitive.

Your new password must be 6 characters long, and must include at least one letter and one number, and no spaces. Passwords may not contain any special character, such as: $,@, %, ;.
